Specialist VI The candidate will manage assigned work through process milestones, while ensuring adherence to all internal policies, federal and state regulatory/legal guidelines. Responsibilities include the evaluation of collateral to determine options related to foreclosure, property preservation. Interactions with business partners (attorneys, valuation providers, property preservation and management companies, community representatives, etc.) that complete activities in support of Bank’s asset liquidation processes. Ensure all information required by attorneys is promptly given to them by monitoring Black Knight messages throughout the day. Identify asset values compared to purchase price, loan amount and past due amount, assessing the risks of action to Bank in order to determine foreclosure action. Work with business partners to ensure proper followâ€up on foreclosure actions.. Ensures all items in the foreclosure CACS queues are worked on a daily basis and in the allotted time. Review files and records to answer requests for information from business partners and Collections. Check, distribute and/or respond to documents and correspondence from internal and external business partners. Assist in the compilation of data for vendor performance management. Attends Monthly Vendor Performance Calls with assigned Vendors. Escalate to management information on attorney firms which are causing timeline/communication issues. Prepares Biding Instructions in a timely manner according to state guidelines. Maintains knowledge of and adheres to the principals and practices of federal, state, and local requirements regarding foreclosures. Verifies accuracy of vendor invoices prior to submitting requests for invoice processing. Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in operating instructions. Participate in and facilitate information sharing with your manager, business partners, and peers in a timely and efficient fashion to ensure widespread communication. Evaluate key performance indicators associated with designated operational processes, pinpointing financial and quality areas of opportunity and selecting appropriate courses of action.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 2+ years of experience as a Foreclosure Specialist or equivalent mortgage banking/loan servicing or real estate law, or other experience. Should have High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate is preferred. Computer proficient, including Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is needed. Experience with CACS, LPS Black Knight Desktop is desired. Thorough knowledge of and the ability to apply complex concepts related to assigned area including the understanding of mortgage and title documents, collections, default servicing, foreclosure legal processing and legal terminology is needed. Thorough knowledge of foreclosure and bankruptcy procedures for the assigned territories is must. Good knowledge of the principles and practices of the Fair Debt Collection and the Patriot Act is essential.
