Paralegal The candidate works with attorneys and partners of the company primarily handling real estate transactions and other corporate law processes. Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics. Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information. Produces initial drafts of letters of intent, commercial real estate lease forms, and other lease administration documents. Coordinates transactional real estate and loan documents, including deeds, transfer tax forms, affidavits of title, UCC-1 financing statements, collateral descriptions and escrow letters. Prepares closing, such as updating closing checklists, filing Sale Applications, assembling closing binders. Handles a transaction file from contract through closing. Coordinates closing logistics; prepares closing checklists; oversees execution of documents and records appropriate documents; organizes complex transactional files. Coordinates post-closing follow-up including recording documents, wiring funds, obtains necessary cancellation documents, organizes and indexes files and oversees preparation of closing documents binders. Prepares and files entity organizational, amendatory, and dissolution/termination documents; prepares and files foreign qualifications and withdrawals. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree, and/or Paralegal Certificate. Must have 5+ years of Paralegal experience with a concentration in commercial real estate leasing and/or franchising. Experience managing multiple real estate transactions simultaneously essential. Working experience with Commercial Real Estate leasing and/or franchising needed. Working knowledge of legal terminology and MS Office essential. Must have unexpired Florida Notary certification or be willing to obtain same.
