Corporate Paralegal/In-House Paralegal/Healthcare The candidate will be responsible for provides support across the broad range of legal and compliance topics facing the company, including in the areas of litigation, compliance, business insurance and risk management, real estate, and contracts. Although reporting to the Vice President, General Counsel & Senior Compliance Officer, routinely interacts directly with Guardian’s corporate-level executive team and local pharmacy management in multiple locations spread across the country. Draft and track restrictive covenants, business associate agreements, confidentiality agreement, and other legal documents. Responsible for entity formation and annual reporting. Assist pharmacies with drafting and negotiating pharmaceutical services agreements, including responsibility for auditing of legal records in company’s customer management system. Assist with due diligence for pharmacy acquisitions. Respond to subpoenas and other requests for information. Maintain paper and electronic legal documents. Responsible for tracking conflict of interest responses and coordinating follow-up. Administrator for Help Line database and for the Learning Management System (“LMS”). Serve as liaison between LMS provider, Human Resources, pharmacy, and Licensing/Credentialing for HIPAA and FWA training. Assist Compliance Committee in executing annual Work Plan, risk assessments, and other routine compliance functions. Serve as liaison between insurance broker, pharmacy, and Atlanta Support Services for all insurance claims. Primary contact to monitor and recommend resolution of all auto claims. Assist with claim analysis and benchmarking projects. Review third-party insurance certificates and maintain insurance certificate tracking database. Coordinate insurance certificate and auto fleet card requests with insurance broker. Interface with pharmacies, accounting and purchasing group to maintain auto fleet schedule. Assist with annual insurance policy renewals. Serve as liaison between landlord, broker(s), pharmacy Presidents, and Atlanta Support Services for new lease negotiations and renewals. Monitor and maintain monthly real estate invoices and remittances, including resolving errors and disputed amounts with landlords. Responsible for annual real estate reconciliation analyses. Maintain tracking system for important lease terms. Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal certificate required. 3+ years of relevant professional paralegal experience in-house or with a law firm required. Proven organizational skills and excellent PC skills, including with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including strong contract negotiation and drafting abilities required.
