Practice Engagement and User Experience Manager Duties: Drives direct engagement with practice groups and users to design, modernize and optimize the experience with all technologies and processes upon which practices and end-users depend when completing their mission critical work. Through this process, will drive the adoption of best practices, optimized processes and innovations that improve and enhance the user experience for professionals who directly or indirectly serve the firm’s clients. Will lead the design of engagements with legal professionals and design the user experience for all users – and will participate in the planning, design, testing, training, adoption and support components for implementation and upgrade to new or existing technologies and/or processes across IS and other departments affecting both internal and external end-users. Work in close collaboration with managers and directors across the organization in order to frame the problems that vendors, engineers, practice support staff, training staff and service desk staff will be required to resolve. The optimal user experience framework for reviewing requirements will be established through a variety of methods: composite development, journey mapping, wire-framing; design focused workshops with executive management, legal professionals, key stakeholders and end-users; system evaluation and testing; and, by collecting and assimilating requests for new or enhanced features and support through other customer facing IS channels, notably the Practice Innovation, Apps and Desktop Support, Service Desk, local IS Support and Technology Education groups. Will directly engage with teams of legal, IS and support professionals; design simplified access to information; optimize findability, structure and navigation across devices; and identify opportunities to optimize user experience through targeted monitoring, and measuring critical software and infrastructure with a focus on comparative and trending metrics that impact the users. Will be responsible for identifying, measuring and analyzing metrics and trends that focus on customer experience and customer sentiment with the ultimate goal of recommending methods, configurations, provisions and processes for supporting and improving adoption.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: A law degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred. Must have 5+ years of experience working with legal professionals in a leadership or team management role. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is also required, as is a college degree. Experience in developing and leading practice workshops, designing composites and creating journey maps is a must. Must be proficient in user experience design and user interface provisioning for legal practice applications; design and development of toolkits for user experience; and in data gathering, analysis and visualization.
