Practice Support Case Manager This role will be the primary point of contact between legal teams and Practice Support personnel. Will provide technical support for litigation support services and software. Responsibilities will include: Determine technology needs of litigators, evaluate possible solutions, and apply technology to meet the needs of litigation; Manage all aspects of Practice Support project services for assigned client and/or matters; Manage project assignments, including routine communication to legal teams on status of projects; In consultation with other members of Practice Support, designs, develops, and implements a variety of technological solutions to litigation issues; e.g. designs, organizes and maintains data bases to respond to the needs of attorneys; Analyze and resolve litigation software user needs and problems; Provide training to others including attorneys, paralegals, and legal secretaries in the use and capabilities of litigation related software; Identify, evaluate and recall information relevant to litigation and productions; Maintain accurate records of project/assignment/task intake, requirements, media, and productions; Establish and maintain effective working relationships with attorneys and others; Communicate clearly orally and in writing; organize workload, prioritize tasks; work under strict deadlines and under the pressures of the litigation environment; Time recording and tracking of billable hours.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must hold Bachelor’s degree having 2 years litigation support experience, training or education. Paralegal experience or certification is desirable. Relativity Certified Administrator and/or CEDS certification is desirable. Experience with a wide variety of technology subjects, including SQL, Access, and MS Office. Project Management and task prioritization skills are required. Substantial and significant experience with Relativity is required; experience with LAW PreDiscovery and EDA systems is strongly preferred.
