Director of Marketing Communications The candidate will be responsible for presenting a meaningful, differentiated and consistent story about our offices, practices, lawyers and key initiatives to our target audiences. Promotes and protects the firm’s brand through development of impactful visual, digital and verbal communications to clients/prospects, recruits, alumni and other audiences, excluding the media. Takes a lead role with lawyers, business development/marketing and other internal staff and outside vendors to meet internal client requests and devise the best approach to meeting those requests. Develops and manages a collateral system for firmwide use, develops concepts/positioning as directed by the Senior Director of Communications, writes and edits content for client-facing and internal materials (brochures, newsletters, announcements, invitations, advertisements, partner biographies, website content and online campaigns that target clients, prospects, law students, new partners, alumni, community members, and other opinion leaders/publications). Work closely with both the public relations team and the internal Communications Manager to ensure consistency/synergy of messaging across all external and internal audiences and to ensure the quality, consistency and timeliness in the creation and production of communications materials and other branded touch points. Manages a staff comprising five professionals, including Sr. Writers/Editors, and Graphic Designers. Must have a college degree, and 6+ years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes all elements of marketing communications, including strategy, writing, project management, design and other creative execution, development, event planning, brainstorming and presenting/selling ideas.
