Profile

Regional Marketing Coordinator Duties: Will be responsible for developing and executing various regional and practice group marketing initiatives. Will support strategic development and tactical deployment of marketing programs that build the law firm's brand within the regional market including: advertising, public relations, direct marketing, pitches, client educational and entertainment events, and community support initiatives. Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of region-specific practice group and industry sales team initiatives. Advise and assist the Office Managing Partner(s) as necessary with regional marketing budget issues, including the Community Support budget. This may include consultation on budget development (definition of priority programs for funding); monitoring actual expenditures versus budget; evaluating expenses; (re)classifying expenses; maintaining budget files; contacting Accounts Payable with questions or to request investigation; verifying expenses and invoices; and preparing check requests. Gather information from attorneys regarding membership opportunities in regional business and/or trade organizations and maintain an attorney board affiliations database. Collaborate with Office Managing Partner(s) and various firmwide Practice Group Leaders and Business Developers to identify participation opportunities in regional business and/or trade organizations and boards; evaluate succession opportunities. Arrange regional market client entertainment (such as hospitality events) and client receptions according to established best practices, including site selection, mailing list development and circulation of same, tracking RSVPs, logistics for guest reception, on-site management, and follow-up with targets . Regional entertainment may be on behalf of practice groups, OMP or industry-related groups. Plan and execute logistics of on-site regional client education programs and virtual events, such as teleseminars and webinars. This would include CLE accreditation, event registration, materials preparation, equipment and conference room reservations, virtual logistics and guest reception and hospitality. Provide direction to and collaborate with Guest Services/Hospitality Staff, who assist the coordinator in planning and executing 3rd party hosted events in law firm's facilities. Master and support the firmwide technology systems such as CRM, CMS, Cvent and all others as introduced by the KM., pitch and website teams. Maintain relevant regional contact information in the CRM system, track and follow-up with all regional pitches and significant client activity, assist with data entry, list building and overall content management. Write, post, and update attorney bios along with linking news coverage, news releases, bylined articles, and events to the law firm's web site. Serve as regional contact for users regarding Marketing Intranet and Internet resources. Will gather financial information through various financial report links specific to objectives of requests. Synthesize that information into usable presentation formats. Represent Marketing department to new attorneys and staff members during new-employee orientation. Facilitate appropriate introductions and assist with action items in regards to lateral integration as advised by Office Managing Partner and Business Developer. Oversee external local/regional marketing vendor relationships. Work with in-house Graphics Team to prepare appropriate community support advertisements, invitations, and other collateral. Prepare custom and semi-custom materials for attorney meetings with current and prospective clients, including strategic collateral selection and assembly of same, creating PPT slide shows, making copies, distributing materials, and updating presentations as directed. Provide support as needed to the pitch and proposal team in facilitating delivery and production of pitch materials. Partner with supply room to maintain and ensure availability of a complete collection of marketing materials and supplies for the regional market. Provide a high level of support on select business development projects, as well as provide on-going support as a dedicated marketer to a specific practice group, as needed. Act as the marketing liaison for a firm wide initiative, such as Alumni, Diversity, Pro Bono or another. Work independently and also proactively communicate and interact effectively with leadership and partners on a face-to-face daily basis. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification Requirements: College-level training in marketing or related field or related experience. 3+ years of experience in a marketing-related field required. Law firm, professional services, or financial services experience is preferred. Previous marketing, public relations, events or media experience a plus, as well as an interest in and ability to understand the legal business environment, including industry terminology. Must have demonstrated experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment. Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as willingness to learn database systems. Must be detail oriented, proactive and self-directed with ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines. Sound professional judgment and a high degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts. Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with individuals at all levels. Must be able to react to difficult situations quickly, effectively and diplomatically. Exceptionally strong organizational, project management and problem solving skills are required for this role.
