Senior Analyst, Patent Docket The candidate will conduct thorough and detailed quality assurance checks on patent docketing and de-docketing. Docket incoming postal and electronic correspondence from foreign associates and from the USPTO for patent matters. De-docket action items from the docket system. Generate complex docket reports and queries per attorney, paralegal and secretary requests. Create new patent records within the docketing software system and resolve any discrepancies within the new business intake system and the docketing software system. Create and maintain patent docketing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train others on established processes. Handle all inquiries from attorneys, paralegals and secretaries in a timely and efficient manner. Assist the Lead Regional Analyst - Patent Docket with special projects/requests as needed. Provide back-up to the Analyst II, Patent Docket team members as needed. Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience. Must have 5+ years of direct domestic and international patent docketing experience. Experience utilizing intellectual property docketing software required; experience using Inprotech highly desirable. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications including Outlook, Excel and Word. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize. Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Strong working knowledge of domestic and international patent processes and laws as they pertain to docketing.
