Executive Legal Secretary The candidate will support attorneys in the Transactional and Litigation practice areas. Will prepare, edit and proofread correspondence, agreements, pleadings, spreadsheets and other administrative documents. Opens new files, requests conflict of interest checks with appropriate department and maintains all client and general files. Management of attorney's calendars, extensive involvement in coordinating and scheduling of client meetings, conferences, and depositions. Responsible for coordinating meeting logistics. Keeps files current and filing up-to-date for each client/matter. Conducts periodic review for possible storage of older files; prepares files to be closed. Arranges all travel reservations and prepares all travel expense reports. Screens telephone calls and records messages. Sorts, reads and annotates daily incoming mail. Should have 1-3 years of secretarial experience in a law firm. Ability to type, read and write in order to proofread and perform initial input and revisions to legal documents, correspondence, memoranda and e-mail is essential. Proficiency in e-filing in state and federal courts is essential. Knowledge of document management systems such as Imanage is essential. Should have typing speed of 70 wpm
