Legal Secretary The candidate will provide support to the NAPG team Partners, Associates, and Paralegals to ensure a high level of service to both internal and external clients. Compose, draft and revise legal documents and forms. Word processing and proofreading. Prepare and file court documents. E-mail and e-file management. Maintain attorney docket and appointment calendars. Review client invoices for accuracy. Managing and coordinating travel schedules. Telephone and email communication with clients and attorneys. Provide back-up support for Reception, department and floor coverage assistance as needed. Assist with general office administrative tasks including processing mail, answering phones, preparing photocopies, etc. Other projects as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Four year degree or equivalent law firm experience; Paralegal certificate from ABA approved program. Experience working in a law firm or legal environment; experience with Native American legal issues and/or tribal court. High level of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications, Adobe Acrobat, Litigation Support Applications (e.g. Relativity, West Case Notebook, Pacer, ECF, Westlaw), and other internet research tools. Familiarity with Federal and State Court Rules. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication (both oral and written) skills. Detail oriented; Accuracy in grammar, spelling and punctuation. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and work within tight deadlines. Maintain professional demeanor in stressful situations. Must be client service oriented, cooperative, and flexible. Ability to work productively with firm personnel at all levels and with minimal supervision. Must be flexible with work hours and overtime as needed. Dependability in attendance and punctuality. Cooperative, enthusiastic, team player.
