Legal Secretary DUTIES: Full charge desk coverage for 3-4 attorneys. Formatting pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents. Filing of legal documents with state and federal courts - efiling proficiency. Accurate proofreading of all documents. Updating and maintaining client files. Accurate docketing.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: College degree preferred. 5+ years of experience as a litigation legal secretary required. Basic PC skills; ability to use phone system, copier, scanner, fax, and printer. Solid knowledge and current experience with State and Federal Court electronic filing systems. Advanced knowledge and experience in Outlook, Word, Excel. Experience with Adobe graphics software. Current working knowledge of Document Management Systems. Maintain client confidentiality at all times. Abide by the policies and procedures of the firm and local office. Consistent and Punctual Attendance. Flexibility and willingness to pitch in wherever needed. Adapts well to fluctuations in workload and changes in responsibilities. Contributes to an atmosphere of teamwork and congeniality.
