Legal Administrative Assistant - Records Clerk The candidate will provide administrative and records management support. Will work on filing, maintaining file indexes, assisting attorneys and paralegals as needed in trial preparation and retrieving files. Updating files re: correspondence, pleadings, medical records, and discovery. Tracking open, inactive/closed and stored cases. Preparing closed files for offsite storage. Coordinating with Iron Mountain for offsite storage pick-ups and retrievals. Creating new redwells and organizing opening file documents. Preparing files for transfer. Organizing file room. Keeping FileSite updated with new matter intake emails. Assist with scanning of medical records. Providing attorneys and support staff with client and matter information through the use of Aderant. Copy, Faxing, Scanning. Scan paper documents to electronic file. Copying deposition exhibits. Copying for preparation for depositions, scanning any new files (or transferring to FileSite), printing our and saving discs of discovery – weekly email sent to office for what files need to be prepared for this coming week. Should have 1-3 years of experience. Must be proficient in MS office applications (Word and Excel) and type 40+ wpm. Excellent verbal, written and organizational skill is a must. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior law firm or clerical experience is a plus.
