Legal Administrative Assistant - Temporary Duties: File management. Open, close, and maintain comprehensive electronic case files in accordance with firm policies and procedures for office and file management. Correspondence and legal documents. Prepare correspondence, documents, and reports, as instructed by attorneys and paralegal, including use of form documents and preparing drafts. Client meetings, court appearances, and depositions. Prepare for client meetings, court appearances, and depositions—file readiness, document preparation, and coordination. Perform electronic case filing in accordance with applicable rules. Calendaring and timekeeping. Provide assistance to attorneys and paralegal, as needed. Daily tasks. Meet attorney expectations for daily work management. Facilitate efficiency. Make recommendations and facilitate efforts to improve efficiency and economy in existing operations. Office policies. Adhere to office personnel policies with specific attention to work hours, personal use of cell phone and internet, and overtime. Special projects. Manage special projects, as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 2+ years of experience as a legal administrative assistant. Experience in receiving callers, making appointments, giving information, explaining instructions, and guidelines. Excellent word processing and writing skills. Demonstrates excellence in accuracy, task management, communication, organization, and teamwork. Knowledge of office practices, procedures, machines, equipment, and case or document management software. Use of correct English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and legal terminology. Strong customer service skills and an understanding of prospective client management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Concordance, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
