Executive Legal Secretary - Litigation The candidate will prepare, revise and proofread legal documents and correspondence. Will schedule appointments, travel arrangements, conferences and client meetings. Prepare expense and disbursement forms for reimbursement or payment. Maintain assignment calendars. Coordinate incoming/outgoing mail and packages. Answer telephones and relay messages appropriately. Prepare timesheets and review client bills. Prepare conflicts and business intake forms to open new matters. Maintain client and administrative files in accordance with firm procedures, including within the document management system. Upload and maintain files on extranet sites. Exercise independent judgment when prioritizing work assignments. Perform other secretarial duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have an Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Must have 3+ years of legal secretarial experience, preferably in a law firm or, equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Word and basic knowledge of other software including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and accounting/billing software.
