Corporate Paralegal The candidate provides legal assistance to the COO and acts as liaison between the company and its outside counsel, third parties and in-house employees; assembles proofs and edits drafts of contracts, leases, licenses and other documents; prepares and files legal documents with appropriate entities as required; conducts research on projects as directed by the COO and outside counsel; may review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations and laws; counsels on progress of cases; assist with contract review process, manage non disclosure agreements; investigate facts, collect information, and effectively summarize material to assist with Legal Department functions; prepare letters and reports; gather, organize, summarize, index, and maintain documents from various sources; maintain the company’s legal files including a library of pre-approved form documents, contract clauses, templates, and historical documents; add or revise material as needed; provide support for litigation and regulatory-related matters as needed; performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have associate’s degree; graduation from an American Bar Association certified paralegal school; experienced paralegal with 5+ years of experience in a corporate legal department; acts ethically and has a strong sense of work ethic; well-developed and analytical and problem solving skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; strong sense of good judgment; excellent attention to detail; strong proofreading skills; self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to job; ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, team environment; action Oriented; dealing with Ambiguity; timely decision making and learning on the fly; time management; written Communication
