Immediate opening for full time legal secretary / paralegal assistant in law office. Small office seeks a responsible, reliable, motivated and professional team member who will be supporting one attorney and one paralegal with a heavy case load of personal injury, workers' compensation, Social Security Disability, business, probate and criminal law cases. Experience in these areas a major plus. Previous law office experience required. Hours of work 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Proficiency in Word, internet use and ability to type well are required. Transcription ability and a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat are a plus. Responsibilities include answering phones, processing mail, scheduling meetings, calendar and file maintenance as well as other related duties. The right person for this position will be a highly organized multitasker with strong interpersonal and communication skills who is able to work independently, has good time management skills, is a good problem solver and can take initiative to complete tasks.
