Legal Counsel Candidate will provide legal expertise in support of the company’s Enterprise Services (ES) Practices and Sales organizations. Counsel the Practice team as they develop cutting edge technology products and services in areas such as Big Data, Cloud, and Security Leads. Develop contracting strategies, templates and guidance. Act as a thought leader within an area of specialization by networking to share subject matter expertise and exerting influence across a broad cross-section of the organization. Exert influence on external industry counsels, policies, and regulatory bodies in area of specialization.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have Advanced university degree in law (JD or LLB) from a top-tier institution. Must have active Bar membership in at least one state. 3-5 years of relevant corporate or commercial contract transactional experience is essential. Experience can be from a combination of large law firm and/or in-house experience is required. Experience representing a major IT company with “sell side†contracts is a plus. English language skills to business standard are required. French and/or Spanish language skills are a plus. Mastery in business writing, contract drafting contract, negotiating and advising internal clients is required. Subject matter expertise on key legal topics including liability, indemnities, intellectual property and privacy / data protection is required. Demonstrated knowledge and judgment about legal and commercial issues in transactions is needed. Knowledge and judgment about prevailing market standards, in the IT services / outsourcing industry is a plus. Advanced understanding of commercial terms, including statements of work, pricing structures, payment terms and service levels is a plus.
