Legal- Assistant General Counsel- Sworn Documents Legal- VP Duties: Providing legal advice to areas in the bank signing sworn statements. Partnering with the businesses and corporate functions to evaluate, develop and implement consistent and strategically sound policies, practices and procedures related to document preparation, execution and filing. Reporting on and providing legal guidance on updates in laws and regulatory requirements and driving policy and procedure updates. Partnering with Oversight and Control, Compliance, Risk and Audit to provide advice and counsel on quality reviews and reporting related to document execution. Supporting a senior legal committee that oversees sworn document policies and advises businesses on exceptions and requests relating to the policies. Working with and supporting the firmwide sworn document operations team.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Must have a JD Degree and 5-8 years of legal experience. Ability to present complex issues to senior leadership. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to drive complex projects across multiple lines of business. Team player who can collaborate within the legal department and across business groups. Analytical thinker who is independent/self-starter. Strong sense of honesty and ethics as an officer of the court and a representative protecting the reputation. Preferred: Regulatory or compliance experience. Prior experience with development of operational processes, project management or procedure drafting.
