Fall Internship Law interns are expected to contribute in all practice areas. Interns conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, contracts and other legal documents, but they also participate in client meetings, legislative and regulatory meetings, and other “outside-the-library†projects such as observing legal proceedings and attending legal training offered through the District of Columbia Bar Association or other local organizations.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Preference is for students who will have completed two (2) years of law school by the time of their internships. Applications from law students who have completed their first year, at a minimum, will also be considered if they have relevant background experience and strong legal research and writing skills. Note: During the fall internships can be on a part-time (at least 15-20 hours per week) or full-time schedule.
