Legal Intern The candidate will work closely with Allen Institute legal department on a wide range of issues including contracts, intellectual property, licensing, employment, immigration, research collaborations, regulatory matters, legal research, corporate governance and policies. Will gains invaluable real-world legal experience by assuming responsibility, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and working with internal business clients and provide support to the legal department on projects as needed. Draft and review a wide variety of contracts, including service agreements, purchase agreements, policies and collaboration agreements and assist with non-profit corporate governance matters, including legal research of statutory and regulatory developments. Provide legal research and assist with management of the contracting process and assist with creation of regularly-used contract templates. Must be currently enrolled in law school with outstanding academic credentials and prior work experience is preferred. Science background is a plus and Nonprofit experience is helpful. Work Study qualified is preferred. Operating knowledge of computers; intermediate level ability with MS Office and other software programs is needed.
