BioChem Legal Intern The candidate should have an advanced degree in a biological or chemical science (e.g., Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biology, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, or Medicinal Chemistry) and be either considering law school or be attending law school. Will work under the supervision of an attorney. Job responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, supporting IP due diligence, patent litigation and other intellectual property matters in the areas of small molecule chemistry and pharmaceuticals, or biologics and other macromolecular therapeutics, molecular diagnostics, bioinformatics and related fields. Must have at least a Master's degree in a biological or chemical science with industry experience or a PhD in a biological or chemical science. Should have experience researching, writing and reading scientific publications in a relevant area. Work experience in a relevant field is desirable. Registration to practice before the USPTO is preferred.
