Legal Intern- Media The candidate will be handling studio and label clearances for company Media properties, including all company Originals programs. Handling talent agreements, releases and location agreements for company’s original programming. Organizing all contracts, releases, clearances, and maintain files for them. Receiving and resolving all clearance and marketing inquiries from other divisions at Yahoo related to content use. Reviewing marketing materials for approval, work with labels and studios to obtain required clearances. Issuing cease and desist and termination letters to third parties. Handling takedown requests. Providing primary legal support for all artist and production issues related to company Originals. Other legal and administrative support for legal department as required.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should be a 1 L or 2L. Must have strong analytical skills. Must demonstrate interest in technology and intellectual property law, preferably trademark. Must have proficiency with MSFT Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Should have exemplary communication skills and a dedicated work ethic. Must have excellent organizational, presentation and process skills with the ability to follow through on numerous projects.
