Litigation - Whistleblower - CFTC
Legal Intern - Summer Associate Duties: The intern will provide support to the Legal Department on Commercial, Corporate, and Intellectual Property issues. Will have significant, daily interactions with the Keurig Legal Department. Will be to provide exposure to the myriad challenges and opportunities attorneys experience in-house of a large public company and elicit well-seasoned and pertinent work product. Be bound by the structures of confidentiality and attorney-client privilege. Work closely with all attorneys and staff members within the Legal Department. Work on a wide variety of corporate, compliance, commercial, and intellectual property matters, which may include reviewing, summarizing, and occasional drafting of agreements, performing research on SEC, Delaware corporate, trademark, FDA, privacy, and copyright issues, and other topics. Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by firm and the Legal Department. Performs other duties as requested by the Legal Department team members.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Must currently be enrolled in a J.D. program at an accredited law school and be in good academic standing. Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as excellent writing skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and web research. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Consideration for the position will be limited to candidates who are first or second year law students and have completed basic contracts and legal research and writing courses.
