Litigation - Whistleblower - CFTC
Law Intern The candidate will join the Litigation Services department as a Summer Intern. The intern will generate and organize various legal documents. Will respond to and prepare discovery and routine motions. Have the opportunity to attend depositions, various court proceedings and trial when possible. Draft deposition summaries and review medical records on cases. Perform legal research. Prepare case evaluation summaries. Work under the supervision of a licensed attorney.
Qualification and Experience
The intern should be a rising Fall 2016 2L or 3L Law student with high energy. An interest in litigation, particularly personal injury or insurance defense is required. Should preferably have outstanding research and writing skills along with effective oral communication skills. Must have ability to work well with others on a team of attorneys, paralegals, administrative assistants, supervised by an attorney Lead Counsel. Should have computer proficiency with MS Office and online legal research - Westlaw. Duration: mid-May to early June 2016 - 10-12 weeks
