Legal Intern - Summer 2017 Responsibilities: Work to support in-house legal staff of an electric transmission company that is subject to local, state and federal regulation of its primary business activities. Assignments, projects and other duties will be as determined in connection with the work assigned to the attorneys in the department. Work closely with attorneys, participate in day-to-day activities. Conduct research and writing assignments. Contribute in a variety of legal areas, including, but not limited to, federal and state regulatory law as it relates to electric utilities, contract law, real estate law, employment law and general corporate and commercial law.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Law students who have completed at least four semesters of legal study. Applicants are encouraged to intern the summer between their second and third year of law school. Part-time law students are also eligible. Strong writing and analytical skills, the ability to work within tight deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously, and exceptional legal research skills.
