January 2017 Legal Co-op Internship Responsibilities: Draft and edit correspondences along with reviewing and marking up contracts. Work side-by-side with the Corporate Paralegal and General Counsel. See projects through from conception to its logical conclusion, while working independently in the absence of specific instruction. Maintain corporate records and contract database. Collect and organize materials/documents for legal, human resources and finance teams. Interact effectively and efficiently with employees of all levels, within a technology company. Maintain discretion and confidentiality throughout all legal projects, communications and contracts.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Current second or third year law student or current undergraduate upperclassman with a focus in law studies, pre-law or criminal justice. Major or coursework related to one or more of the above internship areas. Previous internship experience in a business support function for a tech company is a plus. Strong problem solving ability, excellent communicator, collaborator, and enjoy working as part of a team. Excellent communicator and collaborator. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Superior organization and time management skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
