Internship Students accepted into the program will gain valuable knowledge regarding the inner-workings of a Prosecutor’s Office as well as the Criminal Justice System. Work closely with professional support staff and/or experienced attorneys and are supervised by the Division Chief in which they are assigned. Besides the daily responsibilities and observing court, there are other educational and networking opportunities also available during the summer months. These include to, tours of the Lake County Jail, Coroner’s Office, the Juvenile Justice Complex/Detention Center, and the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office Children’s Advocacy Center. The program is available to first and second year law students and college students who have completed their first year.
