Law Student Internship (Fall) Student will work for Misdemeanor division. Will receive a license under Supreme Court Rule 711, allowing them to try cases under the supervision of a licensed attorney. Primary office duties include representing indigent defendants in criminal, civil commitment, and paternity proceedings. Attorneys also represent juvenile criminal suspects and act as guardians ad litem for minors who are victims of abuse or neglect. The candidates who have taken Criminal Procedure, Criminal Law, and/or Trial Advocacy are preferred. 2Ls and 3Ls can apply.
