Spring Internship The internships educate students to the workings of the US House of Representatives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. While intern responsibilities vary with assignment, primary duties include answering telephones and greeting visitors, collecting constituent information, researching legislation and policy issues, drafting policy updates, attending briefings and hearings, and assisting communications, administrative and legislative staff. Interns have the opportunity to participate firsthand in the functions of the federal government, gaining valuable experience not learned in the classroom. Intern projects vary in size and scope and can range from legislation to press to constituent services. Qualified college students or college graduates are considered.
