Certified Legal Intern, Summer 2016 The office offers paid, unpaid and for-credit internships for law students who have completed second year at an accredited law school and are eligible for certification under Colorado's student practice rule. The requirements for certification are set out in Colo. RCP 205.7. After a week of rigorous training, certified interns are assigned a caseload of misdemeanor and traffic cases. A student practice rule intern prepares cases outside of court and conducts pre-trial hearings and jury trials. This internship is an opportunity to receive intensive courtroom advocacy experience.
