Clinical Interns The candidates will join the employment advocacy and prosecution team who has implemented a vertical advocacy process handling employee discipline issues (including participating in internal affairs investigations, litigating employee appeals, requests to file charges, or whistleblower retaliation complaints before the State Personnel Board, and defending or prosecuting petitions for writs of administrative mandamus before the appellate courts). Will receive law school units for work performed. Coordinate with their law school's clinical department for entry into this assignment. Work with attorneys, conduct legal research and handle assignments encompassing a wide variety of legal issues, including constitutional law related to civil rights violations and prisoner rights, labor and employment related to personnel issues, contract interpretation and disputes, construction, environmental law and inmate healthcare issues as it relates to inmate medical care.
