Spring Internships Interns responsibilities may include legislative research for the Member and legislative staff, attending hearings and briefings, answering constituent letters, running errands, and providing general support. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office. Interns may be asked to do a variety of tasks, including day-to-day office work such as answering phone calls and writing letters. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist with constituent casework or work on various local projects of importance.
