Judicial Interns The interns work with or provide research support for a judge or court program (law students and selected college students). Interns work with the court's research attorneys to provide legal research support to judicial officers. These internships are limited to 2nd and 3rd year law students. The candidate will work with a Judicial Officer and will assist in legal research, and other items related to the operations and functions of the bench. Enrichment activities such as presentations on various departments in the Court, visits to various Courtrooms, and meetings with legal professionals with expertise in specific areas of law. To qualify candidates must be enrolled in a college degree program that is related to the internship. Interns must have the required skills and educational background for the position. In many cases, interns will receive credit toward their degree, but in all cases the internships are designed to provide relevant experiential learning in one or more of the courts program departments. The program is designed to provide current law school students with a first hand experience in the judicial branch of government. Note: Applications and supplemental documents will be reviewed by panel and placements will be made in the early spring for the summer session.
