Summer Law Honors Intern Program The intern will join the Acquisition and Fiscal Law Division. This division is responsible for providing legal support in all areas of acquisition. Contract values often exceed $100 million. The legal intern assigned to this division can expect to work on a variety of legal issues related to contract formation and post-award performance, which may include document review, research, and meetings. Interns may also be called upon to provide input into issues regarding data rights, fiscal law, real estate, and environmental law. The intern may also assist in the litigation of contract claims and protests before courts and the organization's Office of Dispute Resolution for Acquisition. The organization is the acknowledged leader in aviation and aerospace transportation. Interns will work directly with senior staff in one or more practice areas on a variety of substantive assignments. Interns also can consider earning academic credit for their work. In addition to the headquarters internships, internships often are available in the organization's regional and center legal offices. Applications from first-year and second-year law students will be considered. Interns generally rank in the top third of their class with many in the top ten percent will be also considered. Note: Full-time Summer semester legal internships to current law students who will be continuing in law school after their internships will be considered. The internships are unpaid.
