Certified Law Student Internship (Fall), Special Units The candidate would make supervised appearances in court and conduct routine felony preliminary hearings and misdemeanor prosecutions as well as complete major legal research and writing projects. 2Ls and 3Ls may apply for volunteer Fall Legal Internships. The Office prosecutes felony crimes throughout Los Angeles County and misdemeanor crimes in unincorporated areas and in 78 of the county’s 88 cities. It employs approx. 2,100 attorneys, investigators, and support staff, making it the largest local prosecutorial agency in the nation. 2Ls and 3Ls must complete courses in Evidence and Civil Procedure to be eligible for State Bar Certification.
