Tax Manager - International Tax - Asia Pacific Business Group The candidate will provide US international tax advice for host country clients or host country subsidiaries of home country clients. Depending on the location chosen, type of work may include a combination of the following: US International Tax Services (ITS) work; Tax Accounting Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) work for US and regional multinational corporations; regional tax advisory and coordinating regional Office of the Chairman/Tax Priority Account teams; working on other referral opportunities from other regions; and US tax technical support for host country go-to-market initiatives (client seminars, client meetings, internal presentations, etc.). Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations. Build client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of the client's business. Help to develop and guide staff and other junior tax professionals by providing effective performance feedback and ensuring team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals. Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to complex situations.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related work experience OR a Graduate degree and 4 years of related work experience. Should also have a Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting, finance, economics or a related field. An advanced degree in tax or law is highly desirable. Must have 5+ years of relevant international tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry. Host country language proficiency highly desirable. CPA certification highly desirable. Broad exposure to US international taxation is essential. Note: The candidate may spend 6-12 months integrating into the US International Tax Services practice in the US prior to being seconded abroad.
