Manager Tax I The candidate should have the ability to work and communicate closely with individuals within the tax department and without, specifically with company controllers, regional controllers, corporate accounting, legal and the treasury departments. Strong US tax technical skills with a focus on international and experience in Subchapter C transactions, experience handling tax issues in foreign jurisdictions, as well as, having well developed interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and possess a strong attention to detail. Act as Tax Lead for Internal Finance Committee recommendations for the CFO, Treasurer, VP of Tax, and Controller. Will work with Treasury, Legal, Accounting, to assess tax consequences, both from a financial statement and cash tax perspective, of cross border cash movements, including intercompany loans, capital contributions, dividend planning, and company organizations and liquidations. Prepare yearly dividend plan through maintenance of a complex dividend model that will repatriate cash requirements of the Treasury team in a tax efficient manner, including documenting and supporting US GAAP requirements under APB 23. Assist in planning for Tax Reform, including modeling proposed changes, and preparation to transition to new rules. Assist with tax planning projects both from a US and non-US income tax perspective. Handle Quarterly and year assistance on international items for the income tax provision, including preparation of documentation to support the audit work of the company. Assist with the review of the international related items in the Ecolab Inc. US Income Tax Return, including Foreign Tax Credit determinations, Forms 5471, Forms 8858, Forms 8865 and Pro-forma 1120s of the international divisions of the company. Assist with documentation requests of income tax audits both in the US and outside the US. Assist with FIN 48 requirements and associated documentation regarding tax positions. Provide assistance to company controllers around local tax issues. Bachelor degree in Accounting and/or Finance required. Additional certifications or advance degrees desired, CPA, JD/MBT or equivalent preferred. 5+ years work experience in corporate and/or public tax accounting including 3+ years of international tax experience in a corporate and/or public tax accounting environment required. Strong Tax Technical skills, including experience with Transfer Pricing required.
