Associate Intellectual Property Counsel The candidate will work with China IP counsel to implement firm’s IP enforcement programme in China. Will handle IP infringements cases through civil, administrative and criminal procedures. Handle firm’s internet IP enforcement programme in China. Provide IP related legal advice to business; to advise and inform the business on IP developments. Be visible and accessible to and communicate effectively with business contacts and monitor their satisfaction. Provide IP training to business units and outside enforcement authorities. Liaise with, and manage, outside counsels and other service providers.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Degree at a recognized university. Must have a Legal professional training, be a qualified lawyer in a major jurisdiction, e.g., Hong Kong, England, New York. Should have 2-4 years of post qualification experience. Training and post-qualification experience at a law firm with a reputable IP practice needed. Specialized in IP with significant experience in IP enforcement, in particular in relation to trade marks, unfair competition, copyrights and internet related actions needed. Proficiency in spoken and written English essential.
