Assistant General Counsel The candidate reports to the Vice President of Intellectual Property of the company’s Technologies and will be responsible for both domestic and international patent, commercial and gaming litigation and intellectual property matters. Primary responsibilities for this position include management of all pending company litigation, patent novelty and clearance studies, and support of business units in technology acquisitions. Responsibilities: Litigation management; providing novelty and patentability advice to business groups; conduct product clearances; infringement analysis; claims analysis; intellectual property due diligence; and providing legal advice to business groups.
Qualification and Experience
A Juris doctorate degree or equivalent is required; degree in electrical or computer engineering is preferred. 5-10 years of in-house & private practice in patent matters is required. Should be a member of the U.S. Patent Bar and be licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction. 5 years litigation experience is required. Knowledge of gaming law in Nevada (preferred) and other jurisdictions is required. Should have strong litigation strategy skills.
