Patent Attorney The candidate will guide the growth of parts of firm's patent and other IP portfolios. Will partner with business organizations and work with technologists to identify and document inventions, lead reviews of internal invention disclosures, perform patentability evaluations, define patent portfolio strategies, and manage and provide substantive input in the preparation and prosecution of firm's patent applications. Also conduct patent landscaping projects, perform infringement studies, support licensing related activities, and provide counsel on IP related matters.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have J.D. Degree from an ABA accredited law school and admission to a State Bar. Must be registered with the USPTO. Must have 2-5 years of work experience as a patent practitioner, including at least 1 year of patent preparation and prosecution experience. Strong technical analysis and synthesis skills are required. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills are required. Strong project management, planning, and coordination skills; able to lead and collaborate effectively with teams spanning multiple departments and levels are needed.
