ProfileAttorney The candidate will join the Loss Prevention team. Will serve as resource to practice group based in New York and Chicago on large law firm loss prevention and client advocacy issues. Prepare and deliver presentations to large law firm clients. Edit a nationally distributed risk management publication. Prepare email bulletins on current events affecting loss prevention. Research legal ethics and loss prevention issues affecting law firms. Respond to client inquiries on legal ethics and loss prevention issues. Advise client firms of independent loss prevention experts available to render desired services. Advise clients of available insurance company risk management resources. Prepare and deliver presentations to professional audiences, such as Bar associations and organizations, academic and industry conferences, and the like. Support production staff with origination of new business and expansion of existing client relationships. Plan and coordinate national and regional conferences. Advise practice group of significant developments affecting law firms and professional service firms. Advocate client interests and concerns in claim situations. Write substantial articles, monographs, and white papers for distribution to clients. Assist and counsel accounting, consulting, design firm clients with risk management and professional liability issues as required. J.D. degree and admission to at least one State Bar required. Must have law firm experience. Familiarity with legal ethics (professional responsibility) and professional liability insurance is desirable. Should have willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
