Director-Regulatory Affairs The candidate leads Health Plans regulatory affairs for all lines of business. Analyzes and interprets regulations that impact the health plan, and ensures that regulatory requirements are met. Ensures that materials produced by the health plan are in compliance with regulatory requirements across all lines of business. Develops and maintains a cadence for communicating regulatory changes, and trains leaders on regulatory requirements. Partners with Health Government Affairs to ensure consistency in interpretation of major legislative changes. Creates a culture of collaboration, responsibility and accountability resulting in highly successful outcomes such that Health Plans becomes the benchmark. A Masters Degree required, J.D. preferred. Healthcare regulatory experience strongly preferred. In addition, experience and expertise with healthcare payers and providers, strongly desired. Requires 7-10 years of experience in a healthcare or regulated organization. Familiarity with operations of a health plan including to, regulatory requirements, compliance, financial, quality assurance, and human resources procedures in the healthcare environment. Should have experience simultaneously managing multiple complex projects involving multiple partners, interests, and goals. Must have strong blend of management skills and technical expertise demonstrated by effective communication, planning, and decision-making skills/knowledge. Must have excellent attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and analytics skills. Should have knowledge of healthcare Federal, State, and Local regulatory agency guidelines and laws related to Medicare, Marketplace, and Commercial health insurance.
