IT and Project Assurance Data Protection and Privacy Manager The candidate must have Bachelor's degree in a business related field. Degree(s) Preferred: Juris Doctorate. Certification(s) Preferred: Certified Information Privacy Professional CIPP or relevant technical and/or industry certifications. Should have 5 years of experience in data privacy and protection or a related field. Knowledge Preferred: Demonstrates proven extensive knowledge and a record of success in a managerial role within a professional services firm emphasizing consulting and implementation roles in the following types of data privacy-related projects: Design and build of data privacy programs: Privacy gap assessments and maturity roadmaps; Third-party or vendor management programs; Development and implementation of compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO, GAPP, PCI, FISMA); Privacy incident response programs; Development and implementation of privacy policies and procedures--Privacy awareness program development and roll-out, Cross-border data transfer issues that include Safe Harbor certification (i.e. Investigations and investigatory responses to data privacy and security incidents with FTC and other regulatory agencies.); Record of mitigating compliance and reputation risks, especially those involving U.S. and international Privacy, Data Protection and Information laws and understanding the privacy risks impacting a particular industry. Skills Preferred: Demonstrates extensive abilities and a proven record of success with the following skills related to managing data privacy and protection consultants, projects and teams: Leading and collaborating with senior management on client-facing business development, engagement delivery, practice development and thought leadership related to Privacy and Data Protection solution development, assessment and implementation; Managing teams that establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, encourage team dialogue; provide candid, meaningful and timely feedback and encourage improvement and innovation; Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver results of assessments and audits to Management and Regulators; Identifying and resolving issues quickly and effectively and ability to make real-time decisions; Prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast-paced environment; Preparing, reviewing and presenting concise, accurate and complex written and verbal documents and materials for client consumption; Collaborating directly with clients, identifying and addressing client needs through building, maintaining and utilizing solid networks of client relationships and community involvement; Managing resource requirements, project economics (including budgets, billing and collections). Must demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success with project leadership and management of multiple large/complex engagements, including creating proposals and leading business development efforts, and assisting in the management of projects from pre-sale and initial scoping through final delivery and sign-off.
