IT & Project Assurance Data Protection & Privacy Manager Duties: Leveraging industry and technical expertise to assist management to address more effectively risks associated with their business. Assisting management in the assessment of project risks and controls. Enhancing internal audit functions to further align to company strategy and risk. Reducing company costs through strategic internal audit outsourcing and co-sourcing solutions. Increasing value and reducing costs of compliance-related activities. Identifying opportunities for companies to effectively mitigate risk and improve business performance. Applying the concepts of Enterprise Risk Management to help companies identify, assess, mitigate and proactively consider emerging risks. Focus on and enforcement of privacy and security requirements by regulators, stakeholders, customers and other parties, along with the increasing complexity of information systems and the volumes of data being captured and maintained is driving a need for practical, scalable and effective solutions in this space. Helps privacy and decision makers assess and build sustainable and repeatable privacy programs, respond to regulators orders and build confidence among consumers and other stakeholders. Provide a range of solutions from helping clients develop a vision for their privacy program, designing and building a privacy program, implementing and operating the program and providing review and assurance of their program to Management or 3rd party stakeholders.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a business related field. Prefer J.D. Degree. Prefer Certified Information Privacy Professional CIPP or relevant technical and/or industry certifications. 5 years in data privacy and protection or a related field. Demonstrates proven extensive knowledge and a record of success in a managerial role within a professional services firm emphasizing consulting and implementation roles in the following types of data privacy-related projects: Design and build of data privacy programs: Privacy gap assessments and maturity roadmaps; Third-party or vendor management programs; Development and implementation of compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO, GAPP, PCI, FISMA); Privacy incident response programs; Development and implementation of privacy policies and procedures--Privacy awareness program development and roll-out, Cross-border data transfer issues that include Safe Harbor certification (i.e. Investigations and investigatory responses to data privacy and security incidents with FTC and other regulatory agencies.). Record of mitigating compliance and reputation risks, especially those involving U.S. and international Privacy, Data Protection and Information laws and understanding the privacy risks impacting a particular industry. Demonstrates extensive abilities and a proven record of success with the following skills related to managing data privacy and protection consultants, projects and teams: Leading and collaborating with senior management on client-facing business development, engagement delivery, practice development and thought leadership related to Privacy and Data Protection solution development, assessment and implementation. Managing teams that establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, encourage team dialogue; provide candid, meaningful and timely feedback and encourage improvement and innovation. Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver results of assessments and audits to Management and Regulators. Identifying and resolving issues quickly and effectively and ability to make real-time decisions. Prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast-paced environment. Preparing, reviewing and presenting concise, accurate and complex written and verbal documents and materials for client consumption. Collaborating directly with clients, identifying and addressing client needs through building, maintaining and utilizing solid networks of client relationships and community involvement. Managing resource requirements, project economics (including budgets, billing and collections) Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success with project leadership and management of multiple large/complex engagements, including creating proposals and leading business development efforts, and assisting in the management of projects from pre-sale and initial scoping through final delivery and sign-off.
