Profile

Information Governance Analyst Duties: Developing and administering the firm Information Governance ( IG ) programs. Identifying firm information assets in all formats, developing an IG program for that information that meets all ethical and legal requirements, training attorneys and staff on that program and implementing a robust monitoring program to ensure compliance. Developing and overseeing implementation of a strategic IG program applying industry-leading practices and methodologies to support the achievement of short-, medium- and long-term IG goals. Developing and promulgating policies and guidelines for the management of all information at the firm, enterprise-wide content management. Ensuring that the IG programs are consistent, defensible and compliant with applicable ethical and legal requirements in relevant jurisdictions, as well as compliant with client requirements. Ensuring that the IG programs govern information assets in all formats, including hard-copy and electronic. Collaborating with system owners on the governance of data within their systems. Developing and generating standard and ad hoc analysis and reporting, including identifying and quantifying risks. Developing and implementing a communications and outreach strategy to achieve awareness and integration of the IG programs throughout the firm. Implementing, monitoring and auditing ethical screens, attorney transfers, matter transfers, and legal hold issuance and notifications for quality and accuracy, as well as performing work in furtherance of those tasks. Developing, overseeing, implementing and enforcing strategies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, privacy and security of client and firm information, including PHI, PII and other protected information. Assisting the Director of Technology Services, Associate Director for Strategic Projects, Security Officer, Loss Prevention Partner, Chief Information Officer, Ethics Committee Chair, Privacy Officer and others with the performance of their duties that are related to IG, including specifically with responding to client and vendor security audits. Collaborating with Practice Technology employees to ensure consistency of service delivery, including e-discovery. Supporting other firm employees through consulting on the application of IG principles to improve their workflow and to streamline processes. Coordinating and auditing the mitigation of unmanaged Legacy information to bring into compliance with IG plans. Developing and implementing best practice training programs covering IG, Legal Holds, Ethical Screens and other related topics. Developing program for Data Lifecycle Management, Physical and Electronic Records Retention. Developing and delivering scorecards, Key Performance Indicators and other feedback to users on their individual compliance with IG principles.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or significant experience in the field. JD Degree is a plus. 3-5 years' prior law firm experience in a related position. Strong technical background, with an expertise in electronic discovery and records management. Knowledge of certain software applications, including: Microsoft Office Applications (Excel skills crucial), eDiscovery tools (including enCase e-discovery), Document Management Systems (preferable NetDocuments and/or Open Text eDOCS), SharePoint, Varonis, Database structure, CaseMap.
