Detroit office of our client seeks business immigration attorney with 1-3 years of experience. The candidate will support all aspects of the Business Immigration Practice, including the preparation of complex immigration petitions for sophisticated national and international clients. Will be assisting companies with managing the complex and evolving immigration process of obtaining temporary and permanent work authorization in the United States. Prepare complex immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions, including EB-1 (outstanding researchers, aliens of extraordinary ability, multinational managers and executives), Blanket Ls, H-1B, L-1A, L-1B, O-1, E-2, and Trade NAFTA (TN) cases and responses to Requests for Evidence. Manage and execute the PERM labor certification process on behalf of companies in a wide range of industries. Research, summarize and/or review state and federal rulings, cases, regulations, and statutes regarding complex immigration issues; and interact with various outside entities, including clients, governmental agencies and officials, courts, corporations, and other law firms. Must be licensed Michigan attorney in good standing or have ability to waive into Michigan Bar without examination. PERM labor certification experience is required. Should have experience in drafting complex EB-1(outstanding researchers, aliens of extraordinary ability, multinational managers and executives), Blanket Ls, H-1B, L-1A, L-1B, O-1, E-2, and Trade NAFTA (TN) cases and responses to Requests for Evidence.
