Counsel The candidate will provide primary legal support to the Medicaid business provider network operations organization. Will provide critical guidance relating to the implementation of the Medicare-Medicaid Duals Demonstration Health Plans. Serve as primary legal counsel to provider contract negotiators on local and national Medicaid provider agreements. On behalf of enterprise-wide or critical contracts directly negotiate provider agreement terms with providers and counsel. Revise and update contract negotiator guidelines to reflect acceptable contracting practices. Promulgate state-specific provider agreement templates for new Medicaid market expansions and obtain regulatory approvals. Revise and update national and state-specific provider agreement templates, or create new templates and amendments, to accommodate changes in operational practices and laws. Provide critical guidance relating to the implementation of Medicare-Medicaid Duals Demonstration Health Plans; facilitate legal analysis of issues with the Medicare legal and provider contracting organizations. The candidate should have 3-5 years of counseling managed care organizations with exposure to federal government programs (e.g., Medicaid and Medicare). J.D. Degree is desired. Legal/License to practice Law is desired. Background in managed care contracting including direct provider contract negotiations; and federal health policy preferred.
