Assistant General Counsel The candidate will work directly with the Deputy General Counsel in handling contracting and regulatory issues. Issues will include contracting, regulatory updates, and research as well as handling and managing contract and regulatory-related matters. Handles supply chain, IT, managed care and general contracting, amendments and related issues. Responds to contracting issues with staff. Researches regulatory issues. Reviews all health care-related regulatory updates and issues and oversees any needed changes to contracts and policies and procedures. Assists in contract review and assignment in connection with reorganization. Performs other job-related duties as required.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have J.D. degree from an accredited law school 5+ years of experience in corporate and regulatory health law. Should be admitted to practice in New York State. Excellent analytic, research, and investigation skills are required. Excellent contract interpretation skills and a general knowledge of health law issues with a tactical, hands-on approach required. Should have superior written and oral communication skills and computer proficiency. Should have comprehensive knowledge of federal and state health laws.
