Manager, CMS Medicare Compliance The candidate will serves as the primary CMS compliance contact and the person responsible for overall compliance with federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations affecting the Medicare program. Coordinates and communicates to internal departments and external clients and vendors, where appropriate, all Medicare compliance activities and programs, as well as plans, implements, and monitors the Company’s Medicare compliance program. Monitor, research federal and state regulations and proposed regulations to determine applicability for Company. Assist with the development of policies and procedures. Perform administrative tasks associated with compliance related matters. Assist in investigation of potential compliance issues and development and implementation of any necessary corrective action plans. Assist in enforcement of all compliance policies and procedures and consistent application of sanctions for failure to comply. Perform periodic privacy risk assessments and related monitoring activity in coordination with Internal Audit and Compliance Program monitoring activities.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelors degree. JD Degree or other related advanced degree is a plus. Must have 5-7 years of experience in CMS Medicare within the health insurance industry. Knowledge of CMS and Medicare Advantage and Special Needs Plans is preferred. Working knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Demonstrated the ability to assume a reasonable level of individual responsibility, to handle multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time and to work collaboratively in a nonhierarchical department structure.
