ProfileDirector Risk Management Duties: Responsible for organizing, coordinating, directing and implementing the risk management plan. Direct responsibility for all risk management and patient relations at Medical Center & Children’s Hospital, Family Hospital, Hospital, Hospital and Medical Group. Measures and evaluates clinical risk and safety issues as well as trends and patterns. Coordinate and track the grievence process to ensure timely response. With assistance from the Health Risk Management leadership, identifies, evaluates and mitigates risks that detract from optimal patient care and safety. Serves as a liaison representative to professional liability insurance representatives and legal counsel to process and provide information pertinent to claims loss or potential/actual litigation. Comprehensive understanding of management techniques, clinical care and process, performance improvement methodology, risk management and adult education principles, as well as regulatory and accreditation standards, statistical analysis, systems analysis, and information management in order to assure effective program management. Leads and/or participates in selected quality and safety committees/processes.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Nursing. 5+ years clinical risk management experience in large acute care system and/or ambulatory setting. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or related field or JD Degree preferred. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington preferred. Certification in Health Care Risk Management preferred.
